They use tactics like “link farming”, which work at first but then the search engine gets wise to it and the websites on the link farms get hit hard with ranking penalties. Then the traffic goes down and the SEO company charges even more money to get them back up again by way of… you guessed it, more black hat SEO.
The only way that SEO can be close to perfect is if it’s “White Hat” (meaning, very ethical) and if it’s ongoing. The SEO must evolve with and adhere to the current standards of the different Search Engines.
